These are the steps you will go through to purchase your new home. If you have questions at any time, please contact our office.

  • Obtain Financial Pre-Qualification and Pre-Approval

  • Find a Real Estate Broker you can trust

  • Analyze your needs in a consultation (i.e. location, style, price)

  • Select and view properties

  • Write an offer to Purchase

    • Earnest Money Check

  • Negotiate and Counteroffer

  • Accept the Contract

    • Inspections, including sewer, radon and property

    • Obtain survey

  • Complete the mortgage process and finalize loan

    • Credit Report

    • Verifications

    • Appraisal

  • Order Title Exam & Insurance

  • Purchase Homeowners Insurance

  • Close on the Property

  • Take possession of your new home

MONEY NEEDED DURING THE BUYING PROCESS

  • Earnest money (credited back at closing)

  • Inspection Fees (radon, property, sewer)

  • Improvement Location Certificates or Surveys

  • Appraisal

  • Credit Report

  • Down payment (due at closing)
